Understand your page sizes?

When printing a menu / leaflet or poster the printer and trimmer requires a margin of lenience. This lenience is called the bleed and is usually a 3mm margin around the finished artwork. Images and colours should extend into these margin but will however be cut off in the final stages of production. The Images should be included in the bleed so when cut you can ensure the picture will make it to the end of the artwork and not fall short of the end (unless that is the desired outcome)

The Full Bleed margin should be a 3mm circumference around your finished artwork. This equates to 6mm on both height and width to accommodate both sizes.

The Trim Margin is the actual size of the document and where will be cut in the final stages as close to this line as possible.

The Text Safety Margin is a 5mm margin within the document size and represents the zone that is unsafe for text or vital imagery. The company cannot guarantee the printing of any information within this safety margin.
